Hilton Longboat Key & Beach Front Resort
Reviews
From day one, I felt like I was in good hands with the Hilton. Catering Manager Jessica Stevens and her partner Jen made us feel completely at ease (or as much as possible at least, when you're planning your first wedding!) On one occasion, I called the office with some last minute details I was fussing about. I was told "I don't want YOU to be worrying about this stuff. Write a list, send it to me, and we'll take care of everything." And they did! We felt like the entire staff- from the front desk staff to the bussers, truly cared about us and our event, and they all did an outstanding job for us. So many thoughtful little details were taken care of, and it allowed us to relax and enjoy our ceremony and reception. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the waitstaff courteous & professional. Our bartender was fantastic- he was friendly, kept our guests happy, and even ran downstairs to the main bar to get a certain liquor my new husband requested. The reception room was beautiful, and you simply couldn't ask for a prettier ceremony site than the Hilton's white sand beach. I'm happy to recommend the Hilton Longboat Key. We were delighted!
The only thing that this hotel has going for it is the location. The food not maintained on the buffet and when it finaly was filled it was cold. The bar tender was not at the bar half of the time. My guests had to pour their own drinks! When management was contacted about my concerns they offered me 2 free nights at their hotel. This does not compensate for poor service. My advice to anyone who is thinking about this location is: don't pay them until the wedding is complete because they are done with you after you pay.
