Honeymoon Packing Checklist

In the days before your wedding, tackle those last-to-dos with maximum efficiency. Use our checklists to simplify your honeymoon packing. The quantities below reflect our estimates of what you’ll need for a one-week getaway to a tropical locale, an outdoorsy destination or a chic urban setting. Amend them as needed. Boy voyage!

beach:

city escape:

THE BASICS
You’re also likely to need the following:

  • passport
  • airline, rail or cruise tickets (or e-ticket confirmation)
  • printed confirmation of hotel reservations
  • printed confirmation of airport transfer, car service reservation or rental car
  • credit and ATM cards
  • U.S. or foreign currency, traveler’s checks
  • international cell phone and charger, or calling card
  • voltage converter
  • camera, batteries, and memory cards
  • MP3 player and charger
  • phone numbers for your travel agent, doctor and credit card companies
  • eye mask, inflatable neck pillow and ear plugs
  • prescription medication and contraception
  • sunscreen (at least SPF 15) and insect repellent
  • prescription or OTC sleeping pills, or melatonin (for overnight travel and jet lag)
  • pain relievers, Dramamine, vitamins, first-aid kit

Note: Be sure to make three photocopies of each travel document – one to leave at home with a friend and two to take with you. (Don’t pack them together)
